TRG Motorsports has formed a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing under which TRG will receive cars, repair services, and testing support from RCR. TRG will also team with Stewart Haas Racing for pit crew support, in an effort to improveĀ speed of pit stops.
According to a Dave Newton tweet, Kasey Kahne said that Richard Petty Motorsports has made him an offer to stay with the team after next season. But, Kahne said he wanted to see what other offers he gets. If he decides to leave, he could have his choice of four seats.
Kraft Foods has joined Stewart Hass Racing as an associate sponsor. Kraft’s Oreo cookie and Ritz crackers brands will appear on both Tony Stewart’s and Ryan Newman’s uniforms and their Sprint CupĀ cars. Stewart will also drive a No. 4 Oreo/Ritz Chevy in the Nationwide Series opener at Daytona.

Danica Patrick will, officially, stay in the Indy Racing League. Patrick has signed a three-year contract extension with Andretti Green Racing , according to a report in the Indianapolis Star. She reportedly will stay in AGR’s No. 7 with Motorola as a sponsor.
Rumors has it that Danica Patrick is coming to NASCAR in 2010. She is expected to run a mix of races in the Camping World Truck Series, the Nationwide Series and the ARCA Re/Max Series. She will also compete full time in the Indy Racing League.
Despite recent comments indicating that Stewart Haas Racing was unlikely to expand, Tony Stewart said that he has not ruled anything out. But, he said, it would mean things have to happen pretty quickly. The logistics, however, would not be an issue because the shop can already house three cars.
Brad Keselowski may be running out of options to compete in the Sprint Cup next season. With Tony Stewart’s recent comments that he does not plan to expand, that leaves fewer options for Keselowski in 2010.
