Kraft Foods has joined Stewart Hass Racing as an associate sponsor. Kraft’s Oreo cookie and Ritz crackers brands will appear on both Tony Stewart’s and Ryan Newman’s uniforms and their Sprint Cup cars. Stewart will also drive a No. 4 Oreo/Ritz Chevy in the Nationwide Series opener at Daytona.
Jimmy Johnson followed up his Texas stumble with a victory in Phoenix. He currently has a 108-point lead over Mark Martin, meaning that Johnson needs to finish 25th or better at Homestead-Miami Speedway to clinch the championship.

Jamie McMurray survived the green-white-checker finish to the Amp Energy 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Jimmie Johnson, who ran near the back all day, stayed out of trouble and came home sixth, expanding his points lead.
Joey Logano stayed out on old tires during a late caution of the Dollar General 200 at Chicagoland Speedway. To everyone’s surprise, including Logano himself, he drove away from teammate Kyle Busch on the final restart and won the race by over 2 seconds.
