Report: Harvick Re-signs With RCR

Richard Childress Racing and Kevin Harvick have reportedly reached an agreement on a contract extension that will keep Harvick in the No. 29 Chevy beyond the 2010 season. An official announcement is expected Saturday before the All Star race.

Tracy To Run Indy 500 – Coca Cola 600 in 2011?

Brian Nelson, of MRN Radio, tweeted that Paul Tracy is considering running the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600 in 2011. Nelson says he is meeting with Michael Waltrip and Cal Wells, presumably about running a MWR car.

Reutimann, MWR Working On Extension

ESPN is reporting that David Reutimann is working on a deal to stay with Michael Waltrip Racing past the end of this season. Reutimann indicated that there are no major sticking points that should keep the two sides from reaching an agreement.

MWR To Drive At No. 15 Toyota At FoS

Per Michael Waltrip Racing’s Facebook page, Michael Waltrip will drive a No. 15 NAPA Toyota at the  Goodwood Festival of Speed, over July 4th weekend. The FoS is an annual hill climb featuring historic motor racing vehicles held in Europe.

Four Teams Penalized For Texas Infractions

NASCAR has penalized Germain Racing’s No. 13 and JTG Daugherty Racing’s No. 47 teams for rule violations at Texas Motor Speedway. The crew chiefs were fined and placed on probation for the rest of the season. The teams each lost 50 owner’s points and 25 driver’s points. Two other teams received fines and probation, as well.
