Suave Men To Sponsor JRM’s No. 88

Suave Men will sponsor JR Motorsports’ No. 88 car and driver Kelly Bires, for two Nationwider Series races this season, the April race at Nashville Superspeedway and the July race at Chicagoland Speedway. The deal, further extends the partnership between JRM and Unilever, Suave’s parent company. Unilever brands, Ragu, and Hellmans, also sponsor the team.

Patrick To Run Select Nationwide Races For JRM

Danica Patrick announced on Tuesday that she has signed with JR Motorsports to run a part time Nationwide Series schedule in 2010. She will also enter the ARCA Series season opener in order to get NASCAR approval for the N’wide Race.

Patrick Close To Deal With JRM

According to ESPN, talks between Danica Patrick and JR Motorsports are entering their final phase, a source close to the situation said. The deal would be for two years, and would allow Patrick to compete full time for Andretti Green Racing, with whom she recently signed an extension.

Patrick In Talks With JRM, MWR?

Jayski is reporting via ESPN Insiders that Danica Patrick is in talks with JR Motorsports and Michael Waltrip Racing about running eight races in the Nationwide Series — and perhaps some Camping World Truck Series or ARCA Series races. Kevin Harvick Inc hasn’t been ruled out yet, either.

Patrick Seeking $8M?

Danica Patrick was reportedly asking for $8 million to run eight Nationwide Series races next year. Those reports were apparently false. She is expected to make $50,000 per race. Dale Earnhardt Jr’s JR Motorsports team is trying to sign Patrick to compete in some races next season.

Patrick Still Seeking Inroads To NASCAR?

The Danica Patrick-to-NASCAR story does not appear to be over, despite news that she recently signed a three-year deal with Andretti Green Racing to stay in the Indy Racing League. Sports Illustrated is reporting that Rick Hendrick confirmed that Patrick representatives have met with Hendrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr about running a limited ARCA and Nationwide Series schedule.

Bires Signs Two-Year Deal With JRM

JR Motorsports has signed Kelly Bires to drive one of its Nationwide Chevys next season, replacing Brad Keselowski, who is leaving to join Penske Championship Racing in Sprint Cup next season. While Bires is Keselowski’s replacement, it has not been decided whether he will run the No. 5 or No. 88.
