bvmich1 Vickers Stretches Fuel, Wins Carfax 400Brian Vickers won the Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway using a fuel mileage gamble, stretching his fuel father than Jimmie Johnson. The win is his second career win.

Top 5: Vickers, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Carl Edwards, and Sam Hornish Jr.

Casey Mears, Joey Logano, Clint Bowyer, David Reutimann, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top 10.

Notables: Kasey Kahne (11th), Kevin Harvick (12th), Matt Kenseth (14th), Ryan Newman (15th), Tony Stewart (17th), Jeff Burton (18th), Juan Montoya (19th), Greg Biffle (20th), Kyle Busch (23rd), Mark Martin (31st), Jimmie Johnson (33rd), and Kurt Busch (36th).

Jimmie Johnson dove on pit road with two to go because he ran out of fuel. Mark Martin also ran out of gas on the final lap, and had to coast to the finish. Johnson finish 33rd and Martin finished 31st.

Kasey Kahne and Juan Montoya made contact and Montoya lost a lap because he cut a tire and a brake line. Montoya got his lap back and salvaged a 19th-place finish.

Kurt Busch had an up and down day until he made contact with David Ragan. The two spun and Busch hit the inside wall, ending his hopes for a good finish. He got back out and finished 36th.
