It’s official, Mark Martin has signed a two-year deal with Hendrick Motorsports to drive the No. 5 Chevy. Next season will be the first time in two years that Martin will race the complete season.
Then, in 2010, Martin will run 26 races in the No. 5.
Martin said:
The two years running a partial schedule were 100 percent necessary. There’s no way I would have accepted this deal in 2007. No way. I got to catch my breath, spend quality time with my family and reflect on what’s important, and what I want to do.
