ESPN is reporting that Greg Biffle had reached an agreement with Roush Fenway Racing on a three-year deal. He met with Roush officials last week to iron out terms of the deal.
The team plans to announce the deal in the next week or so. Also expected to be announced is a new deal with 3M as a sponsor.
RCR Close On Fourth Driver
Richard Childress Racing is reported to be close on a fourth driver for its No. 33 General Mills Chevy next season.
Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Newman are rumored to be on the short list of drivers, but they are considered long shorts. Newman has put Penske Racing on notice that he will not re-sign unless the team’s performance improves.
Scott Wimmer is also considered a contender for the ride, but he’s said to be lower on the list.
