Crew Chief Change At The No. 42

SceneDaily is reporting that Brian Pattie is replacing Jimmt Elledge as crew chief for diver Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 Dodge from Chip Ganassi Racing.

Elledge had been with Montoya for only three races, following a swap in which he moved to the No. 42, while Donnie Wingo moved to the No. 41 and Reed Sorenson.

The Sporting News added that there was no reason given for the release. In three races with Montoya finished second at Talladega, but then finished 32nd and 23rd, respectively, at Richmond and Darlington.

The Charlotte Observer and ESPN  also covered the story.
